Work to restore and renovate the interior of St Benedict’s is now gathering pace but with a few surprising results. In removing the paint from two of the roundels situated between the arches facing the south aisle these two paintings have been uncovered. As yet the meaning of the paintings and their symbolism is unknown so if anyone can cast some light on this it would be most welcome.
