Our Kingdom Come

May 18, 2017 by wombournepcc

Words which Jesus encouraged his disciples to pray as part of the Lord’s Prayer. Words that Archbishop Justin is encouraging us to focus on in a special season of prayer between Ascension Day and Pentecost.

As a parish we have answered Archbishop Justin’s call to prayer by buying a small prayer guide “Nine Days of Prayer” that has been published by the Diocese of Canterbury. Each of the nine days, starting with the day after Ascension Day, has a picture as a focus for prayer, a passage from the Bible when we meet important characters from both the Old and New Testaments and a suggested prayer.
We will give them out at our services on Sunday but if you can’t be there, please call into St Benedict’s where they will be available by our Prayer Board. Remember, as Archbishop Justin says : “Prayer is the Place where change begins”
