With one week to go to the Music Festival, tickets are selling well, and you are advised to buy your tickets early, as some of the concerts are selling out and seating is limited.
The weekday afternoon concerts have proved very popular and the School Choir Concerts performed on 26th, 27th & 28th September have in the past been well attended. Each afternoon, starting at 1:30pm, Two different primary schools bring along their choir and/or their band to perform for us.
The standard of performance has, in the past, been very high with the children performing with energy and enthusiasm. This year for the first time, on Thursday afternoon, we are pleased to welcome the Highfield High School Band to close the afternoon performance.
If you have a spare afternoon or two, please support these concerts; which will not only give you a pleasurable experience but raise funds for the schools, as 50% of the proceeds from the day are returned to the performing schools.
Tickets (£3) are on sale now from the usual outlets, including Taylor’s Greengrocer adjacent to the Library/Community Centre carpark.
