Church Wives’ April meetings certainly followed a farming theme. Not even the very inclement weather and flooded roads on 12th April were going to prevent our group from enjoying a wonderful lunch in the The Creamery at Apley Farm. All the food is always homemade and wherever possible grown organically on Apley farm.
At the next meeting on 26th April we were fortunate to welcome Lord Gavin Hamilton, who took over the ownership of Apley Farm in 2006 after the death of his father. He spoke of the renovation and running of the arable and livestock farm, and with his wife, Lady Harriett Hamilton, the development of the Playbarn, The Creamery, the farm shop and the running of different events throughout the year.
